I Was Born Here.
I Build Here.
I Invest Here.
I Visualize Here.
I Will Lead Here.
Nick was born and raised right here in Elmira, New York. He attended Elmira Free Academy, where he grew up alongside the same families, neighbors, and communities he serves today.
“I grew up on these streets. I went to school here. I started my business here. When I look at Elmira, I don’t see a city in decline, I see a city with everything it needs to come back stronger. It just needs the right leadership.”
Small Business Owner After earning his degree from Corning Community College, Nick did what so many Elmirans dream of; he built something from the ground up. As the owner of First Class Auto Detailing at 151 West Washington Avenue, Nick understands what it means to meet a payroll, navigate city regulations, and invest in a community with your own hands. He knows the challenges small business owners face because he lives them every day.
“When you own a business in Elmira, you’re not just an owner; you’re a neighbor. You sponsor the Little League team. You hire the local kids. You have real skin in the game. That perspective is exactly what City Hall needs”
Public Servant Nick’s commitment to Elmira goes beyond his business. He currently serves his second term on the Elmira City Council, representing District 1. He made history as the youngest person ever elected to that body. His time on the Council gave him a front-row seat to the decisions that affect everyday Elmirans and a clear-eyed view of what it will take to move this city forward.
“Serving on the Council has shown me how much this city has going for it and how much work is left to do. As Mayor, I’ll have the tools to actually get that work done.”
The Vision Nick Grasso is running for Mayor of Elmira because he believes this city deserves leadership that shows up. Not just at election time, but every single day. His campaign is built on one simple principle: Elmira First. Every policy, every budget decision, every conversation at City Hall starts with the same question: Is this good for Elmira?
“My whole life has been Elmira. My future is here. My kids’ future could be here. I’m running because I’m not willing to watch this city struggle when I know we can do better - together.”
